THE END OF A BEAUTIFUL SUMMER

 Summer started very badly for me : the acne, some other little issues...I was very pessimistic about my holidays. Indeed I've decided to go to Sri Lanka and was scared that it would turn into a complete nightmare.vBut I was WRONG, it turned out beautifully....

Let me share the main highlights :

WEEK 1 : My friend's wedding 💍

I didn't know what to wear this so I bought this satin barbie pink dress. I loved it, got a lot of compliments but I won't wear it again since I'm unconfortable showing off my shoulders lol.

It was very nice,  I made a lot of friends that same night, I really had a good time.

BRUNCH at Lighthouse Colombo 

The next day, I got invited to a brunch near the beach. I was really fun. I made a lot of new friends in a dream landscape as you can see 😍

WEEK 2 : A good relaxing moment at Jetwing Blue

I went for dinner with my neighbors at this restaurant near the beach. I was so beautiful and delicious !

Saw my longtime friends after years. I was really cool 🙂

WEEK 3 : Horton's plains

We went on a 4 hours ride. It was a little bit tricky and tiring but I worth it, so many beautiful views 😍

And I end the night with a yummy room service dinner.

It made my day !

WEEK 4 : Colombo baby

It was the most awaited moment cause since I live in the countryside, going to the big city is such a thing for me. It was super nice and I got to go clubbing with the friends I made at the wedding ! 

That was my look. I kept it simple cause I don't like wearing too much makeup in hot countries. Got a lot of compliments and the vibe of the night was so good 💖
I met the sweatest girls and had such a fun night !

To conclude, It was a beautiful beautiful, relaxing holidays...I didn't have such a good time inYEARS. I just realize the importance of a good holidays. We need some time somewhere else, we need to get out of the work routine. It feels so good now...I am now back in France...with a peaceful state of mind...Almost sad to get back to work...but hey to taste a good holiday, you have to work hard first right 😜

I will get back to blogging often now cause I enjoy it and in a few years, I wanna read all this again to remember that life is good 😌

SKIN PROBLEMS

I've been stuggling with acne MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE GUYS Let me explain to you : Got my first breakouts when I was 15. I went to the dermatologist who put me on local treatments first. I got some few results but it never made my acne disappear for ever. He then put me on antibiotics, got my skin clean for months but once I stopped the treatment, acne got back 😅 So there wasn't really a permanent solution for my skin. Then by 21, I got that hormonal treatment called ANDROCUR This was the ONE for me...treated my hormonal acne for a good 9 years...my skin was acne free :

It was a REAL pleasure to put makeup on, I didn't need to treat and I just had to take the pill everyday. Everything was fine until when I got a letter one day saying that some researches has proven that ANDROCUR could give me BRAIN CANCER 😱 So obviously, I immediatly stopped the treatment and got a brain scan. Thank god, I didn't have anything 🙏🏼 After that, unfortunatly little by little, my acne come back 😭 it was really bad, especially being an adult and going through this again... So I went to my dermatologist again and he prescribed be ACUTANE...And let me tell you : BIGGEST mistake The side effects such as dryness, suden acne irruptions...were aweful...it would have been okay if it actually worked on me ! But after a year after I stopped the treatment, my acne come back guys 😭 I felt sooo bad... Of course doing a second round is possible but I don't have the strenght to go through it again... So I try to handle it with my own researches using the following products :

1. Sérum périodique by TYPOLOGY 

Every week you apply a different serum, it supposed to balance hormonal acne.

Felt like it worked 

2. THE ORDINARY Moisturising cream + CERAVE Eye Cream

This combo applied daily didn't break me out

THE ORDINARY Serums : Nacinamide & Peeling serum

Nacinamide helped with small spots and the peeling serum dried the spots 

This routine worked perfectly for me. I had some spots from time to time but nothing too crazy, the products did help. Everything was fine until I started working out...

Indeed, around april, I've decided to run 4 times a week to be shape. I got some nice results but at a cost: The sweat broke me out guys !

That's bad right ? Not only I got acne, but i got left with very bad dark stains that takes forever to disappear.

I didn't go out for months cause I was very insecure. I tried to keep my routine but I didn't work.

I've decided to go to the doctor and ask for help, something temporary.

I got some antibiotics prescribed for a year : DOXYLINE

I know I'm not trying to solve the issue naturaly but I need to get my smooth skin back and feel confident again. It's really going to help me.Once everything will be fine, I will try some natural remedies.

I will keep you updated regarding the results.

A CUTE SATURDAY IN CHATELET

Hello girls, As promised, I am DONE being stucked in a bad place...summer is in the corner and it's time to be HAPPY 😀 Yesterday I had a lovely day in Paris with my longtime friend Leyla 💜 

We went around Bastille to try a restaurant called GIORGIO.

The struggle was real to eat the ice cream loool but it was soooo good 😍

3 YEARS OF BEING STUCKED

Hello ladies 🙂 It's been a very long time and I am aware of it...Before anything, let me just explain why I haven't been there for such a longtime. Obviously social medias are not what it used to be few years ago 😅 so why blogging when you have TikTok, Instagram...right ? But that's not the real reason. As we all have been trhough this horrible 2020 year that has changed our lives FOREVER, I have been trhough some really tough times myself 😶 and withtout explaining everything in details, all I can say is that it was HARD...Since 3 years, I've been feeling mentally unstable : One day I am happy, everything is fine and the next day, I am so upset...The 2020 was the toughest...then 2021, I tried to handle shit as much as I could...2022 though thing would get better but...NOPE 😐... I didn't have only horrible times, as you can see, I tried to keep my head up and enjoy life...but it never completely lasted.

Now 3 years after, I realize one thing : I cannot be like that forever...I need to change and bring back my hapiness again without expections. And getting away from my toxic routine. Blogging again is gonna a heatlhy way to share things and spending time. So I will share my beauty products, shopping moments, new routines...I know it's gonna help me. I'm feeling nostalgic when I read my old posts...I wanna be that girl again 😀 I'm willing to feel better and be spontenanous and expectations free. I am ready to be happy and free...it's now or never 💪🏼

TANGLE TEEZER REVIEW

After years of hair disaster, I've recently decided to take care of my hair bu changing my routine. The compact Tangle Teezer caught my eyes so I've decided to give a try. I swear I thought this was a regular brush the whole time. But I was pleasantly surprised...

The packaging was crazy attractive, rose gold is such a bomb color <3...At first I thought this would be way too difficult to hold but it's actually PERFECT !

See how it fits my hand :) ! I love it !!!

Plus it got a protection, if you put in your bag, it won't scratch anything inside, how cool is that ?

And finally the best part is that it's totally doing the job guys !!! My hair may look easy to brush but it's not. I have very thin hair and I get knots very easily. It really hurt me when I try to get rid of them and the process can be long sometimes. But with this, it's like magic, the brush slides in my hair, no pain, no waste of time, it's brushes my hair in few seconds and make them knots-free and silky. See the different. I tried it with wet hair and wow it's was sooo easy !!

Definately a life changer, I will use it on a daily basis.

HOW TO FIX YOUR BROWS AFTER A BAD WAX JOB

Recently, I had to get my eyebrows waxed for a special event. I always go to the Benefit Brow Bar and get my eyebrows done with my favorite brow lady : Melissa. But that day, Melissa wasn't working...my bad. So I had to get my eyebrows done by another girl. At First I liked the result, but when I got home, I realized my brows were too thin. Back in the days I like them thin but now I like them thick since my face changed through the years. I was so pissed cause my eyebrows take for ever to grow. I almost have to wait to month to completly grow them back.
But thanks god some good products are available in the market. I went for the Total Temptation Brow Definer by Maybelline :

I was really surprised by how amazing that product was : it offers a really natural look and a beautiful color. I got the color  #SoftBrown and I love it. I use the brow spoolie to lift my eyebrows first and then I draw some little strokes. The final look is simply fantastic : from boring thin brows to fuller looking brows :

MAKEUP ROUTINE UPDATE 2018

Hello ladies, It's been a very longtime since my last post I know...I was busy but now I'm back on track with a LOT of surprises trust me ;)

I've been struggling the past years with makeup : yes makeup. Indeed my skin has been through a lot of changes and my old foundation routine just stopped working for me. It's probably due to my age, I'm in my late 20's... getting old you know. Anyway. I've tried tons of different foundations and nothing worked for me. It just looked dry, emphasizing my wrinkles and pores. I was desperate and I lost my confidence. But thanks god, no matter what I go through in life, I am always persistent and I'm trying and trying until I find what I'm looking for. One day I was thinking about my old foundation routine which was a mix of Revlon Colorstay and Maybelline Superstar foundation and I was like "hey it used to work for me when I had very bad skin so why not give it a try again ?". 

So I ordered the Revlon foundation online and got it super fast. Let me tell you one thing : I just felt SO ALIVE when I applied it on my face omg. My skin has never felt so good damn. This foundation works like magic : it makes my skin looks so soft, flawless and matte without making me look cakey and dry. It's just one of the best foundation I've EVER tried. And the best thing about it, is that it truly last all day : just a dream...

I mix #RichGinger and #RichTan to get the perfect color. And I love it. And in the center of my face, I apply my longtime trusted Mac Studio Sculpt foundation in #NC44 and I simply get the perfect flawless :)

FAVOURITE NAIL POLISHES WHEN I'M BROKE

I wanted to share my favourite nail polishes. I recently stopped working, so I have a mini beauty budget. I found those amazing nail polishes :

 1. Rimmel Super Gel nail polish. The color is good, dries very fast : 8€

3. Kiko Nail polish, beautiful, shiny and cheap : 4,90€

2. On the top of them I applied the Hema quick dry top coat. It works amazingly, and it only cost me 3.25€

Have you ever tried any of those nail polishes ?

CAUSE I'VE BEEN THROUGH A LOT

Apologizes for my long break. I just didn't feel like blogging until today. Indeed, I had huge issues with what I love the most : makeup. Yes MAKEUP. I went back from summer holidays, and once I applied makeup back home, my skin looked aweful, super dry and cakey. At first I thought my skin changed because I was getting older. So I run to my local makeup stores and bought almost 4 foundations from Mac Studio Fix fluid to Marc Jacobs. None of them looked better than my old Mac Pro Longwear foundation that I have been using for 4 years. The color just didn't look good, I looked too yellow, and no long lasting power. It made me lose my confidence, I was ashamed to go out, to look at a mirror in a store. I thought that it was the end, that no foundation would ever make me happy and confident again.

But thanks god, I was thinking  and thinking...trying to find out why this foundation that I've been using for 4 years became all of a sudden unwearable ? I found the answer : CLIMATE CHANGES. I went from a hot counrty to a cold one. It changed the color and the consistency of my foundations. So i went back my Mac store and got back brand new foundations. Back home, tried them on my face and just like magic, it looked as beautiful and flawless as it used to be before. I am the happiest girl in the world now. Thanks god, now I'm ready to blog again.

 

So as a lesson, if you feel like your all time favourite foundation doesn't work on you anymore, just mak sure it's not because of any climate channges.

NEW FAVOURITE LIPSTICK

Let me introduce the only lipstick I currently swear by : Marc Jacobs Lip Gel lipstick in the shade "Boy Gorgeous". I usually don't buy high brand lipstick but I made an exception for this. Indeed, I was in my local sephora when I came across a lady who was wearing the most beautiful pink I had ever seen. Of course I immediately asked her what she was wearing on her lips. She simply showed me the Marc Jacobs corner. I tried it and just felt in love with the color. I LOVE it. It is so flatering on my skintone and looks so edgy :

 

Such a beautiful intense pink 

Not only the colour looks stunning plus the packaging is so elegant and casual with I love. It doesn't dry the lips at all and offers a beautiful matte look on your lips almost all day. I will repurchase this lipstick for sure and I would totally recommend it !

HOW I SAVED MY HAIR

Two years ago I felt for that ombre hair trend. I liked it at first, I felt so cool, it was the first time that I was dying my hair that light. I went from dark hair to blond : 

What I didn't know was that it was just a BIG mistake. It completely ruined my hair : I had horrible knots, brushing them  was a very hard time and my hair started breaking very easily. My hair was so dry and uneven as you can see :

But thanks god, some magic products exist to fix bad hair problem. Here are my routine products :

1. Head & Shoulders shampoo : That is the only shampoo that doesn't grease my hair, it just makes my hair soft and light.

2.John Freida Frizz Ease Miraculous Recovery mask : By far the BEST mask I have ever tried. In 5 minutes, you get insanely soft and shinny hair. It smells amazing, and works even after months and months of use. I only swear by this mask, I could not live without it.

Those two products definatly contribuated to recover my hair damage. But I also use once a week that magic stuff called COCONUT OIL. At first I though it was just a trend but it actually works amazingly. I apply the oil 3 to 1 hour before I wash my hair. After a few use I've noticed some dramatic changes on my hair : no more knots, but gorgeous soft shinny hair :) !

I totally recommend coconut oil to all of you, I promise you will get amazing results. Just look at my hair now, I just went from zero to hero haha :

E.L.F MATTE LIP COLOR #RichRed REVIEW

 

I saw this lipstick on a Youtube makeup tutorial and I totally crushed on the color called  "Rich Red". 

Almost impossible to get it online as it was sold out everywhere. But thanks god after a month, I finally found it on Amazon and I got it yay... And I am very pleased with the product. It is similar to a chubby liptick but with a matte finish as claimed by the product's name :

But I won't say it is 100% matte, it is between matte and sheer which is perfect cause it doesn't make your lips dry. Your lips are moisturized with a light matte finish. The color is pretty pigmented, and shows on dark skins like mine which a good point. It is the perfect effortless casual red that you can wear on any occasion, that's what I like the most about this lipstick. You don't look like you tried so hard to look good with red lips as you can see :

But one thing I was disapointed with was the poor lasting power of this lipstick. After three little hours I noticed the color started fading. So you need to touch up like 3 times a day unfortunalty. That is the only bad side of this Matte Lip Color. Anyway, for the cheap price, it totally worth it. I really love the color and I will definatly purchase this again cause it just the perfect red to keep it simple.
