HOW I SAVED MY HAIR

Two years ago I felt for that ombre hair trend. I liked it at first, I felt so cool, it was the first time that I was dying my hair that light. I went from dark hair to blond : 

What I didn't know was that it was just a BIG mistake. It completely ruined my hair : I had horrible knots, brushing them  was a very hard time and my hair started breaking very easily. My hair was so dry and uneven as you can see :

But thanks god, some magic products exist to fix bad hair problem. Here are my routine products :

1. Head & Shoulders shampoo : That is the only shampoo that doesn't grease my hair, it just makes my hair soft and light.

2.John Freida Frizz Ease Miraculous Recovery mask : By far the BEST mask I have ever tried. In 5 minutes, you get insanely soft and shinny hair. It smells amazing, and works even after months and months of use. I only swear by this mask, I could not live without it.

Those two products definatly contribuated to recover my hair damage. But I also use once a week that magic stuff called COCONUT OIL. At first I though it was just a trend but it actually works amazingly. I apply the oil 3 to 1 hour before I wash my hair. After a few use I've noticed some dramatic changes on my hair : no more knots, but gorgeous soft shinny hair :) !

I totally recommend coconut oil to all of you, I promise you will get amazing results. Just look at my hair now, I just went from zero to hero haha :

E.L.F MATTE LIP COLOR #RichRed REVIEW

 

I saw this lipstick on a Youtube makeup tutorial and I totally crushed on the color called  "Rich Red". 

Almost impossible to get it online as it was sold out everywhere. But thanks god after a month, I finally found it on Amazon and I got it yay... And I am very pleased with the product. It is similar to a chubby liptick but with a matte finish as claimed by the product's name :

But I won't say it is 100% matte, it is between matte and sheer which is perfect cause it doesn't make your lips dry. Your lips are moisturized with a light matte finish. The color is pretty pigmented, and shows on dark skins like mine which a good point. It is the perfect effortless casual red that you can wear on any occasion, that's what I like the most about this lipstick. You don't look like you tried so hard to look good with red lips as you can see :

But one thing I was disapointed with was the poor lasting power of this lipstick. After three little hours I noticed the color started fading. So you need to touch up like 3 times a day unfortunalty. That is the only bad side of this Matte Lip Color. Anyway, for the cheap price, it totally worth it. I really love the color and I will definatly purchase this again cause it just the perfect red to keep it simple.

THE BEST CONTOUR BRUSH EVER

I am not into crazy dramatic contouring, but love the bony cheeks looks, it gives more dimension to my face. 

I use a powder bronzing powder by Nars in the shade Casino. I used to used the Real Techniques Contour brush but I felt like I was wasting too much product and too much time contouring my cheeks as the brush was small and round. This why I decided to make a change and go for a flat Nars's inspired "Ita brush", of course way too expensive for my little budget. I went on Aliexpress.com (Ebay Style super cheap website) and found exactly was I was looking for : 

A large, long flat brush. The brush is even better than I have been expecting : the quality is just really good. The brush truely looks like a high brand brush, I love it and it's super soft. It really helps me contouring : In a second a obtain a perfectly contoured cheek and it wastes way less powder than with my RT brush, the difference is HUGE.

SOAP & GLORY 

BEAUTY SLEEP ACCELERATOR : NEVER AGAIN

 

 

I have been looking for so long for a night cream and I was really happy when I came across this Soap&Glory night cream called the "Beauty Sleep Accelerator" : a cream that was supposed to hydrate the skin all night long. The retro packaging totally attracted me like a magnet and I have heard tons of good things about this brand so I decided to purchase this product. 

Back home, I was super excited to try the cream. Once I opened it, I was hypnotized by the delicious peachy perfume of this cream with a smoothy texture.  

This cream looked absolutly perfect at first sight  and I really thought it would be my best friend lol. So I naively applied the cream all over my face before going sleeping. I felt my skin was perfectly hydrated.

BUT when I woke the following day, the hydratation was completly gone and I felt like my skin was kinda rough. I looked myself in the mirror and bad surprise : I had little spots all over my face ewwww...Of course it was caused by this cream. It took almost a week to get my face back to normal. I even went to see the doctor and he told me I was allergic to the perfume of the cream which was particulary smelly. 

Anyway, I was extremely disapointed by this cream : the lack of hydratation and the composition which was obviously not adapted to all skintones. I would NOT recommend this cream if you have a sensitive skin or allergies.

BIRTHDAY OUTFIT

 Saturday was my birthday, and of course, partying with my friends was an obligation as it's almost my last "young" year LOL. I decided to get my hole outfit from Missguided. I received my express order in almost 2 days and I was super pleased with it :

I opted for a white tube midi skirt and a black top. The quality was pretty good.

Hello lovelies, I know it's a little bit late but I wish you a wonderful year full of joy, success an love !

2014 was an aweful year, and I'm glad to finally start this new year. I really hope I will reach new goals, meet new people, gain the confidence that I lost last year cause that year was extremely tough. My biggest wish is the confident and happy girl that I used be.

SUPERDRUG INTENSE VOLUME EDITION 31 LASHES REVIEW

I was looking for some good lashes in a rush when I was in UK, I had a party that night and I came across those long falsies in Superdrug. They were pretty cheap, around £2.99, I was like "let's give a try, they look cool". But I waq wrong, I actually hated those lashes. I though would look good because of their lenght but they were absolutly NOT. They looked really unnatural and does not make your eyes pretty. In my opinion, they are too long and gives a tired look to the eyes. I do not recommend buying those falsies, they look cheap and too fake. See by yourself :

NARS ORGASM VS SLEEK GOLD ROSE

I have finally purshased the famous Nars Orgasm blusher. I felt like changing my makeup, summer is close and I thought it was a good occasion to get Nars Orgasm. I will not add anything new to everything that have been already said about it : this blush is fabulous. Indeed the color is perfect, you can wear it with or without any highlighter on : the color is a pinky coral colour mixed with gloden shimmer, it totally allows you to wear it without any highlighter on a day time. In my case, on the picture I wore it with Nars Casino bronzer and a Sleek highlighter cause it was at night because I wanted to go for a more dramatic look. I absolutly love the result, it really makes the skin glowy and fresh. But here is a little summary of the pros and cons :

PROS :

• Nice glowy color good on any time of the day
• Long lasting
• Buildable
• Easy to apply, no powdery effect
• Golden Shimmer included, no need to apply highlighter

 CONS :

• Very pricey : 30€
• Not enough pigmented compared to other nars blushers, 3 swatches were necessary 

Many of you tend to say that Nars Orgasm is a dupe of Sleek Gold Rose. They seem to be similar at a first sight :

 

BUT I do not agree, in my opinion Sleek Gold Rose is not a dupe. If you look closer, you can notice that Sleek is more of a coral blush when Nars is pinky. See on my swatches :

I do not like the Sleek one because if does not stay on your cheeks for more than 3 hours. At the end of the day you end up looking like a hot mess lol. I prefer the Nars Orgasm shade, pinky blushers look better on me.

What do you think of Nars Orgasm ? Do you think it is similar to Sleek Rose Gold ?

Barry M Nail Polish Review

 

I was recently attracted by Barry M nail polishes. I really liked the large range of colors from dark to lighter pastel shades. I decided to go for the #308 Berry shade wish was a beautiful pastel purple color. The price was relatively cheap : £2,99. What I liked about this product was the intensity of the color and its long lasting effect. But one thing wasn't in favor of this nail polish : It took way too much time to dry, around more than a minute which was a very bad point. I had to apply a gel top coat to make it dry faster. So it you are impatient like me, you probably won't like Barry M nail polishes. I don't think I would by it again :s

NEW YEAR, NEW LIFE

 

Hello ladies, hope you're all doing well. Sorry for the delay, I know it's been a while. I was very busy those last months. Just wanted to do a little look back at this 2013 year...I have been through a LOT this year and it was not easy : ups and downs, tears, fears, joy... This years was definatly not easy. It was hard for me to keep my cool and feel good due to a lot of external facts. Recently I moved by my own from Paris to London and I learned a lot. It wasn't easy and things that I had planned went wrong. It affected me a lot but it made me stronger than ever and those last events taught me that shit happens but life goes on :), you gotta keep your head up. I think everything happens for a reason and definatly makes people stronger. When it's time to move on, do it, don't waste your time with rotten flowers.

I'll make everything to make this upcoming year a good year, take care of myself cause only my happiness matters !

Mac Extra Dimension 2013

Mac Extra Dimension 2013 collection is back ! Thanks god !!!! Last year I was dying for the highlighters collection but they were out of stock. But as the collection is back I rushed to the nearest Mac store and got this amazing highlighter in "Double Definition" which was the most appropriate for my golden skin tone. And I absolutly LOVE it. I hated the the "Soft and Gentle" Mineral Skinfinish highlighter which was too powdery according but this highlighter has nothing to do with it. The texture is a mixture between cream and powder, so very easy to apply. I love the glowy effect it gives on my cheeks, see : 

It stays on your face all day and all night. I really love it and I recommend it. The only thing I'm worried about is that it belongs to a limited edition :( !!! Whyyyy ???

Have you got one of those Extra Dimension's highlighter ? Did you like it like me ?

SEPHORA PURIFYING CLEANSING GEL

 

I'm a lazy girl, I hate removing my make up with a lotion and then using a face wash. I found the perfect gel make up remover. This is a kind of face wash and a make up remover at the same time. I swear that this product removes absolutly everything ! I was pretty surprised because I used more expensive products which didn't work. But after using this, no need to add any other remover.The smell is okay and the price pretty cheap around 6€ avaible in any Sephora.

I highly recommend this remover to anyone who is lazy like me haha ;). This perfectly does the job.

FAVOURITE FRENCH MANICURE PRODUCTS

In winter, most of the time, my mood is BAD. I don't feel like wearing colorful nail polishes. So most of time, I do a simple french manincure. Let me introduce you my 3 all time favourite nail polishes :

From left to right : Pink Paris French Manicure "White", Claire's Gel top coat , Sephora  "Sugar coated"

 All dry super fastly, and give a very nice plastic shinny look to the nails as you can see (I'm not a big fan of long nails, I love them short) :

I highly recommend you the Claire's Gel Top coat which is perfect, it really gives dimension to the nails and a beautiful shine. Plus it's so cheap : only 2.99 €.
